Fitted Diapers

Fitted diapers are nothing less than what they sound like. You can forget about those shapeless, flat diapers our parents may have used. Fitted diapers are snug and carry soft elastic gatherings in the waist and legs region to fit your child from infancy to toddler years. These hourglass shaped diapers eliminate the need to fold and pin all the time. Their unique design also prevents the "waddling effect" that may be caused by cumbersome or bulky diapers. Some fitted diapers fasten with snaps while others fasten with velcro. Fitted diapers are available in a wide range of materials including terry cloth, flannel, bamboo, hemp, velour and cotton knits.

As with any diapering system there's a downside with wearing fitted diapers as well. The main inconvenient with fitted diapers is that they take longer to launder and dry. Fitted diapers are also more expensive than other diapers so it's recommended to use them for outside wear. These diapers require diaper covers as they are not waterproof. Most parents however consider that the pros outweigh the cons. You can easily find fitted diapers as they are available in most major brands.
